The Benny Fund is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving mental health and preventing suicide through advocacy and education. We strive to ensure mental health is spoken about openly at our dinner tables, in our schools, and as a community. Our mission is to make mental health visible and a priority while working to end stigma and silence. We do this through mental health advocacy campaigns, such as Benny’s Run and Project Love, and by providing funding for mental health and suicide prevention education programs. Additionally, we award scholarships to high school students. The organization was formed by Holly Neiweem after the suicide of her 24-year-old brother, Benjamin Neiweem. This organization is our way to remember and pay tribute to his adventurous and loving spirit. Our message is one of hope and compassion. We are here to remind you that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. We are a strong community, fighting to make mental health a priority for everyone.
