In the United States, about 30 million men and women suffer from an eating disorder, meaning the person is so preoccupied with food that he or she cannot focus on other things — including work.  Unfortunately, the pressure to perform at work leaves little time for self-care, which means that many individuals don’t seek help, Cabrera says.  “There is incredible stigma and shame associated with admitting or exposing mental-health problems, especially for someone with authority,” she says.”
