Advocates for Healthy Brains
We advocate for a world where it is just as easy to ask for help with depression as it is to ask for help with a broken arm. The stigma associated with anxiety, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, as well as other brain health issues is not only real, but acts as a barrier to seeking treatment. Every 12 minutes someone in the U.S. dies by suicide. Together, we can end suicide. It starts with honest dialogue, better education at home and in our schools, and increased compassion. No one should be afraid to ask for help. It will take more than love to end the stigma, but it's a good place to start.
